Seahawks vs. Arizona

so after last games debacle of getting yellow carded and nearly kicked out (for standing of all things) i feared i wouldn’t get the chance to go back this year. sure enough though, mitchell opened his heart to bring me to another game.

i met him and randy and mike at j&m cafe in the morning for bloody marys, chicken friend steaks and whiskey. mike had some trouble not spitting his irish cofee all over the table so we bibbed him.

we then continued down to cowgirls inc. for a few more beers before the game. on our way to the stadium we just couldn’t resist the temptation of another shot before we payed $800 for beers at quest.

got to our seats just in time to settle in and enjoy the pregame entertainment. kenny m.f. loggins sang the national anthem as well as provided the half time show. i was severely let down when i heard neither “pooh corner” nor “highway to the danger zone”. WTF kenny loggins? i know you think you’re a serious artist and all that but you had jets flying over the stadium! how can you not conjure up a little top gun magic. the crowd would have lost its mind.

so basically seattle teams (washington as a whole kinda) suck a fatty this year. UW has one more chance to get one win (1 flippin win); the mariners should’ve stop playing in june (they couldn’t even lose just one more game so thy could get the #1 draft pick, they screwed that up too!); we lost our basketball team to okalahoma; and the seachickens can’t even secure a wild card spot in the weakest  division in all of the NFL (no wonder we drank so much on sunday).

well without further ado, we lost. big shocker i know. but we did have quite a good time doing so. mike and i snuck into the club level for a stretch but those people weren’t quite our speed. we sat through the remainder of the game and each of our squandered attempts to not get embarrassed on our home field.

with tails between legs we headed to some bar after the game. more whiskey. more laughing. more fun.
